The 510 connector Micro 22 from ModMaker. Certainly one of the best, if not the best connector on the market. Compared to the also already very good V1, a number of other improvements have been incorporated.
There is now an extra large solder hole for the connection of the plus cable. This allows cables of up to max. 10 AWG to be used. The width of the connector has been reduced to M10. Thus, it also fits very well in small mods, or there is more space left in the mod.
The housing is made of stainless steel for optimal durability. The two nuts are made of silver-plated brass. The plus pole is made entirely of copper for extra high conductivity. The top cap has a thickness of 1.0mm, with additional washer of 1mm.
The insulator is made of PEEP reinforced with glass fiber. This results in much higher strength and stiffness. It can be stressed up to 300°C for a short time and up to 240°C permanently, making it much superior to Delrin or Ultem. An O-ring on the plus pole and an O-ring on the insulator ensure absolute tightness.
The spring is a stiff wave spring (rings of corrugated flat wire) with a typical pressure of 4.2kg (42 N). This results in a very tight connection between connector and evaporator and reduces the voltage drop(volt drop).
